Fabio Spirinelli is a PhD candidate at the University of Luxembourg, where he got his Bachelor’s degree in history in 2012. After his Bachelor, Fabio studied cinema and performing arts at the University of Liège (Belgium) and completed his Master in European Contemporary History at the University of Luxembourg in 2016. His personal interest in social history, culture and public policies, as well as his previous studies inspired him for writing a master thesis on the history of cultural policy in the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg from 1945 to 2015, awarded best master thesis in European contemporary history at the University of Luxembourg in 2016. As a doctoral candidate at the C²DH since November 2016, he continues his research on cultural policy and is more specifically interested in the evolution of discourses and the roles of the various actors in the cultural policy field.
